Clear answers about services, removals, nail art, hours, policies and finding Mary.

What should I book if I’m not sure?+

Use the service guide to compare no-polish, regular-polish, Shellac, Soft Gel, Bio Gel and Gel-X options. It also identifies compatible nail art and any Long Length, repair or removal detail that still needs to be selected or confirmed.

When are appointments available?+

Regular online hours are Friday and Saturday, 10 AM–6 PM. Limited Sunday–Thursday appointments may be available by request; a request is not confirmed until Mary replies.

What does drill-free mean at Nails by Mary?+

Mary does not use an electric drill at any stage of an appointment, including preparation or removal. Mary removes every product she accepts—including product applied by another salon—without an electric drill. Acrylic removal is not offered. Call Mary before booking if you are unsure what is currently on your nails.

What is the difference between Soft Gel, Bio Gel and Gel-X?+

Soft Gel is a lightweight overlay over natural nails and does not add length. Bio Gel adds structure and can create short extensions. Gel-X is the full-set option for added length.

Can I book nail art by itself?+

No. Open an eligible manicure or pedicure and choose the matching ‘With … Nail Art’ variation before tapping Add. Do not select nail art again on the Add more screen. Use Find My Service or call Mary if you are unsure which option applies.

Which removal should I choose?+

Choose a paid removal service only when removal is the entire appointment. Choose Shellac Removal for Shellac, Soft Gel Removal for Soft Gel, or Bio Gel / Gel-X Removal for Bio Gel or Gel-X. Removal of Shellac, Soft Gel, Bio Gel or Gel-X is included at no additional charge when you book a manicure or pedicure with Mary. Add the matching $0 included-removal option so Square reserves the required removal time; do not add a paid removal service. Bare nails and regular polish need no removal service. Acrylic removal is not offered; call Mary if you are unsure what product is present.

Do you work on product from another salon?+

Yes, for every product Mary accepts. Supported removal is included with the manicure or pedicure, so do not select a paid removal service. Mary removes every product she accepts—including product applied by another salon—without an electric drill. Acrylic removal is not offered. Call Mary before booking if you are unsure what is currently on your nails.

How does nail-art pricing work?+

The listed manicure or pedicure price is the fixed base-service price. After you add an eligible manicure or pedicure, Square shows the available extras with their additional charges. Combination Nail Art is +$25. Use Find My Service or call Mary if you are unsure which option applies.

How does the Long Length add-on work?+

Long Length is an add-on only. It is +$15 when Square offers it for the selected manicure and desired length. Use Find My Service or call Mary before booking if you are unsure.

How long will my manicure last?+

Wear varies with nail growth, lifestyle and aftercare. Shellac commonly lasts up to 2–3 weeks, while structured gel services follow a maintenance schedule based on your natural nails and the condition of the product.

What if a nail needs repair?+

Choose your base manicure or pedicure first. When Square asks if you would like to add more to the appointment, choose “ADD-ON ONLY — Nail Repair,” then select 1–5 nails. Each repair adds $5 and 10 minutes, so the correct price and time are reserved automatically. If more than five nails need repair, call Mary before booking.

What are the cancellation and payment-card terms?+

Please reschedule or cancel at least 24 hours before your appointment. Cancellations made within 24 hours and no-shows may be charged 50% of the scheduled service price. Square may require a payment card to hold the appointment.

Where exactly is Nails by Mary?+

Nails by Mary is inside PUREBEAUTY Salon & Spa at Holt Renfrew Centre, 50 Bloor Street West, Concourse Level, Unit S03, Toronto. Mary operates independently inside the salon.
